A course at Testrup Folk High School will be a vitamin bomb for anyone studying Scandinavian languages and culture. If you wish to get to know Danish culture and mentality and the Scandinavian tradition of liberalism, democracy and welfare thinking, the teaching and the social life here offer a unique experience. About 90% of the students are Danish, and common to them all is a high degree of open-mindedness, openness and curiosity about people with different ethnic, national and cultural backgrounds.
More or less all students here know English. Therefore you will have no difficulty in making yourself understood in English. Typically a fair number of the Danish students will also speak and understand German, a smaller group will know French or Spanish and a few will have a knowledge of other languages, such as Italian, Portuguese, Turkish or Russian.
